All Exams

•  Are you pregnant?  If yes, please notify the scheduler so that we can verify with the radiologist that you can proceed with your exam.
•  Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your exam.
•  Please contact our office at 281-453-7999 if you have any questions or to cancel or reschedule.
•  There is a $50 charge for appointments not cancelled with a 24 hour notice.

Bone Scan

• Drink plenty of fluids prior to your exam.

Gastric Emptying

• Nothing to eat or drink 6 hours prior to your exam.

Hemangioma

• Eat a light meal the night before and morning of your exam.

Hida Scan

•  Nothing to eat or drink 4 hours prior to scan. 
•  No Demerol or Morphine 6 hours prior
•  You will be responsible for paying a $75 fee at the time of scheduling you’re your Kinovac injection. This is not covered by insurance.  This amount is in addition to the Scan charges.

Liver / Spleen Scan
Muga Scan

• No Prep

Renal Scan

• Do not take blood pressure medications the morning of exam.
•   Drink 2 glasses of water before your appointment.

Renal Scan with Captrpril

• Same prep as Renal Scan. In addition, stay off the Ace Inhibitor for 48 hours prior to the scan.

Thyroid Scan

•  Do not take any thyroid medications 4 weeks prior to exam.
